Did you know that we created a Butterfly and Moth bank at TheUPGarden last year? 🦋 We planted 80 plants that support a range of butterflies and moths including autumn hawkbit, wild marjoram, kidney vetch, oxeye daisy and more! 🌱💚

The first Speckled Wood (Pararge aegeria) of the year was spotted at NMCC last week.

It's one of many species supported by our low-mow regime. We've got plenty of Yorkshire-fog grass across the site, providing potential caterpillar food 🐛

These fuzzy moths can be found in many open habitats, including sand-dunes, gardens, downland and hedgerows.
