Dynamic US is critical for evaluation of the Achilles tendon pathology to distinguish partial and full thickness tears. Here’s a case from Flores et al. of a partial thickness AT tear confirmed by lack of tendon gapping on dynamic maneuvers.

US-guided therapies are frequently used for treatment of Achilles tendinosis and enthesopathy. Steroid injections are a common method of managing inflammation. Here’s a great example of a retrocalcaneal bursa injection from the article.
