Pitchstone is a glassy volcanic rock formed by the rapid cooling of silicate-rich lava. This specimen was found on the Isle of Arran, where such rock was used to craft blades during the Stone Age and Bronze Age!

This Dalmanites actually shows a shed exoskeleton, discarded by the during ecdysis! You can see the eye lenses and leg articulation points, signs this is not a mould .
