One thing that I think helps me understand and accept the idea that paleontology always changes was the paleo media of the early 2000s.

Each dinosaur was different depending on where I looked, and seeing so much variety really helped me to understand that on a very young age.

Thescelosaurus neglectus has the most accurate name in paleontology because this little fucker is one of the most interesting animals in Hell Creek (and that's saying something) but no one seems to care.

I forgot to share this yesterday: I'm drawing plant size charts for.... something.... it's still very early days, but anyway, I thought you'd like to see.

The hammer broke. Pick too.

The MSU bookstore is a few thousand miles away, so we made due with traditional tried and true paleontology dinosaur bone removal techniques.

And no, before you say they might have just gotten terms mixed up: this is the 'Paleo' family. Paleontology is the study of ancient, fossilized life. They were concerned that their daughter had a pony skull for a cutie mark, because that's not the domain of paleontology.

don’t blame rizz…🌺 ANYTHING PALEONTOLOGY RELATED ESPECIALLY SABER-TOOTHED CATS!
Also meet Nordy my stuffed sabertooth I got at a museum a while ago :) I just couldn’t resist him because there’s rarely any plushies of this animal and they’re my favorite alongside deer!

Happy , check out this skull from a juvenile Gryposaurus! These hadrosaurs called North America their home roughly 75 million years ago, and this particular individual would have enjoyed the lush jungle that makes up the Kaiparowits Formation. (1/2)
