How to export Geometry Nodes to glTF 3D with vertex colors:

1. Use [Realize Instances] to bake geo nodes to geometry
2. After that, use [Set Named Attribute] to apply vertex colors per instance

Also works with the Needle Add-On for Blender of course!

Love this trip down glTF 3D memory lane by Gary Hsu. Microsoft getting on board with glTF and prompting the first version of PBR was the ultimate inflection point for glTF and the robust specification and ecosystem we enjoy today.
