Brochs in the Borders? You'd better believe it!

Hundreds of these towers are found in northern Scotland, but a few are much further south. Near(ish) to are Torwoodlee Broch, Edin's Hall Broch, Bow Castle Broch.

The discoveries were made during archaeological excavations undertaken by GUARD Archaeology prior to the construction of new houses in 2014, the results of which have only now been revealed following the completion of post-excavation analyses.

Very happy to say that the SAF digitising project is back underway and we now have volume 2 available for reading & downloading!

This 1970 volume includes papers on long barrows, long cairns and (long) rectilinear enclosures so there's something for all the family.
