Highlights from Day 1 of Archaeology Scotland's 2024 Summer School on #Bute . The morning session was an eclectic mix. Views across the wider landscape at Scalpsie Bay, #Rothsay 's category A-listed #Victorian public convenience, Scalpsie #BronzeAge Barrow and Kilchattan's 18thc Lime Kiln.

Heading to Archaeology Scotland's 2024 Summer School, which this year is on #Bute . Weymss Bay has one of Scotland's finest railway stations. Opened in 1865, it is a great place to start a glorious ferry trip to #Rothsay with CalMac Ferries. The day ended with stunning views from our hotel!
