Only four moths here last night, but Ochreous Pug and a probable Pammene argyrana were new for the garden. A Coleophora anatipennella larval case on apple and a recent Red Twin-spot Carpet were also nice. #teammoth #MothsMatter Charles Fletcher Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire
An unexpected visitor to the moth trap last night. Caloptilia cuculipennella. A rare moth in Yorkshire. All other county records since 1880 have been from a single site in the east of VC62 at Skelton. Jill Warwick Diane Smiley Andy D. Nunn
An adult Caloptilia azaleella has emerged from one of the cocoons on azalea. The first record for VC 61. #teammoth #MothsMatter Charles Fletcher Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire
Coleophora vitisella on Cowberry in Colsterdale on Saturday. This must be one of my favourite Coleophora cases. Jill Warwick Andy D. Nunn Diane Smiley Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire

Coleophora paripennella case and feeding signs on Centaurea nigra Nosterfield Nature Reserve today. A new species for the reserve.

A very smart Phyllonorycter lautella that recently emerged from a #leafmine on oak I collected in the autumn. Also a P. quercifoliella, also on oak. #teammoth #MothsMatter Charles Fletcher Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire
Phyllonorycter emberizaepenella is the first moth to emerge from #leafmines (on snowberry) I collected in the autumn. Also a Pammene giganteana to a Grapholita lobarzewskii lure a couple of weeks ago. #teammoth #MothsMatter Charles Fletcher Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire
Caloptilia populetorum at Ellington Banks last night with Jill Warwick is the second record for VC64, and and early Streamer is the fourth earliest for Yorkshire. Diane Smiley Butterfly Conservation Yorkshire
