We must create a better future for families who struggle to find affordable child care and for the many child care providers earning poverty-level wages.
We are proud to support this initiative as we continue the fight for increased federal investments in #childcare .
This #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth , we're shining a light on how failing to fund a child care system that guarantees care for every family & good wages and benefits for our providers is impacting mental health.
A thread! 🧵
Currently, child care is impossible to find and afford for most of us, causing huge financial and emotional stress. The financial and emotional stress of making low to no wages is hurting our child care providers, 95% of whom are women. #FundChildcare
Child care is essential support for all parents and caregivers—whether they work, stay home, attend school, or have other caregiving responsibilities. Everyone should have access to what they need to raise a family—including child care.
