🧭 The excitement of the night as the dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis, Northern Lights were seen in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Beached whale still stuck in Swampscott. NOAA Fisheries confirms this same whale washed ashore in Marblehead a couple weeks ago. They weren’t expecting to see it again. Now a team needs to figure out how to safely dispose of this carcass. We’ll have an update Boston 25 News at 10 & 11

Update to Swampscott Whale. Swampscott Animal Control Officer Scott Considine is on scene taking measurements. He says this is the whale that washed ashore in nearby Marblehead a few weeks ago. That whale was towed out to sea. 📸Mark Garfinkel

This is Espresso. A 42-foot humpback named by NOAA 10 years ago. The whale washed up dead in Swampscott. Her body first came ashore in Marblehead weeks ago. Crews brought her 50 miles out to sea, but she’s back. NOAA has no idea how she died, but she sure does love this area.
