Redshank chicks can feed themselves as soon as they hatch and these 2 look well fed 🐥Their parents were alarm calling overhead so we kept a good distance and moved away to avoid disturbance

It’s a gorgeous evening for a cruise! We’ve seen Sandwich, Common and Little Terns fishing before we’ve even left the harbour 👏☀️⛴️

Neath Canal was pretty good for Odonata. 16 Variable Damselfies, Azure Damselfly, Blue-tailed Damselfly, 2 Emperor, 2 Hairy Dragonfly, and 2 Common Darter. Birdwise, Cetti's Warbler, Reed Warbler, Grey Heron, Song Thrush, Chiffchaff, and Willow Warbler.

So many ‘little brown jobs’ singing in the reeds and scrub. Nice to see Corn Bunting amongst the 47 species we recorded today 👏☀️🦢🐦‍⬛🦆
