My new cactus. This is Tephrocactus articulatus (the spineless form) commonly known as the pine cone cactus. Received it as a cutting three years ago from a member of our local (Wash DC) C&S society. Has grown quite fast. Native to Argentina.

Gethyllis linearis is winter growing bulb native to Southern Namibia through the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It's claim to weird fame are the super spiraling leaves. These leaves dieback during the hot, dry summer.

When you don't think weird plants can't get any weirder, along comes a totally weird cristate (fasciated) Euphorbia obesa. The common name of Euphorbia obesa is baseball or golfball plant, but this one looks nothing like a ball of any kind.

acting weird. Here's one of my Astrophtum asterias (sand dollar cactus) deciding to go weird on me. I suspect this occurred when the apical (top) growing point was damaged or died for some reason. This resulted in new growing points developing. As I said, weird.

After nearly a week of gargantuan effort I couldn't keep going any longer. My spadix has finally fallen!

I think I still look somewhat fabulous - it's just a bit of a different look, right?

Some common plants doodle today. Time lapse of process soon. Can’t wait to mock these up in UE4 and grow them in Towers ecosystem. Which one is your favorite? (Left to right)

The wind has finally gone out of my sails, glorious followers - my spadix has flopped. There's only so long an Amorphophallus can stay erect!

After almost five full days of effort I think I deserve a rest though?

I've spotted this weird looking thing growing in the hedge & after extensive googling, it turns out it's a WILD CUCUMBER! 🥒
Classed as invasive and dangerous to native plants in Poland & it's against the law to introduce it anywhere. Originates from South America.
