My new cactus. This is Tephrocactus articulatus (the spineless form) commonly known as the pine cone cactus. Received it as a cutting three years ago from a member of our local (Wash DC) C&S society. Has grown quite fast. Native to Argentina. #Cactus #WeirdPlants

#WeirdPlants acting weird. Here's one of my Astrophtum asterias (sand dollar cactus) deciding to go weird on me. I suspect this occurred when the apical (top) growing point was damaged or died for some reason. This resulted in new growing points developing. As I said, weird.
