Our bat care team covers 5000Km2 in N. England but I found this forlorn little guy sitting on a rock by my pond. I expect the bats to come to me now. 😊

Noctule #bat found grounded on moorland, close to a wind farm. X-ray at vet revealed bad fracture high up in the shoulder, no hope of recovery. I sobbed in the car because she was so beautiful, so placid and still so full of life. Today bat care is hard. 😢 #lovebats #bat care

No closed season for #teambat , we've had 12 calls in 2024 so far. This chap came out of hibernation early, thin and weak. He knows that mealworms are food but waits to be hand-fed every day. I don't mind though, he's gorgeous. (Disclaimer: they're all gorgeous) #lovebats #batcare

Some bats in trouble just don't want to cooperate. This tiny pipistrelle found grounded (sticky & sore) has gone 21 days taking barely enough to keep body & soul together. Last night she gave in & cleared her dish of mealworms. Today I'm a happy bat carer 🥰 #batcare #lovebats
