The use of #explosiveweapons in populated areas is a major cause of civilian deaths and injuries during armed conflict.

Last year, 94% of victims were civilians in 17 countries.

In 2023, they killed and injured almost 30K civilians across just six of the world’s war zones: Gaza, Myanmar, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine and Yemen.

It’s been 6 months since a new political declaration was signed by over 80 States committing to restrict or refrain from using #explosiveweapons in populated areas.
