Good luck to those getting ALevel results today. Don't panic if lower than expected. There are always different options. I flunked mine and did my degree at 25 which was the best thing ever. Don't let one day define you.

A particularly 'interesting' part of our trip was being stopped at a road block and being told that our Budget Car Rental hire car was unlicensed. To be fair Budget brought us a new one to where we were staying but it was a nervey drive that day.

Just returned from 2 weeks visiting our South African family. Some joyous times, some poignant (spreading ashes instead of 90th party). Also a suprise meeting with Askham Bryan College group in the middle of the Kruger Park! But now time for bed.

A month after the first exploding head incident, I have been released from hospital visitd every 2 days and allowed to put my very tiny dressings on myself. Huzzah!

In industry, when there is an issue, you get a short time to sort out a plan. Even a failed food safety establishment gets to sort themselves quickly. Schools get punished for years #ofsted

Props to nurse Ruth at Selby hospital who just dealt with my head exploding. That was one funky cyst. Beyond grateful for her kindness and wisdom oh and a decent local hospital.
