It was wonderful to come together with past and present Club members earlier this month to celebrate thirty years of service and friendship.

It was great to be part of the positive conversation last week between Australian Human Rights Commission and our colleagues at the National Human Rights Commission, #Taiwan about the important role #NHRIs play in our region to promote and protect human rights.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: 
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. 
At the going down of the sun and in the morning 
We will remember them.

Belated congratulations to the African Australian Advocacy Centre for last month's launch of the 'We Belong Here' report. At the launch I spoke about the right of every individual to be free from racism, and the work all of us need to do to translate our principles into action.

During the pandemic Australians were 'required to endure some of the most significant restrictions of our human rights ever imposed during peacetime'.
