📌 Our Executive President Sergio DiazGranados met with Cindy McCain, the Executive Director of the World Food Programme (@WFP), to explore new ways of supporting Latin American and Caribbean countries in mitigating food and nutrition insecurity.
They discussed strategic lines such as
Wars have rules that must be respected by all sides.
Civilians and humanitarian workers must be protected.
At all times and in all places.
They are #NotATarget .
ADAM Disaster Alerts @WFP sends our deepest condolences to the people affected by the earthquake, especially families grieving the loss of their loved ones.
Attacks on aid workers are unacceptable and unconscionable. All of Gaza is hungry, and humanitarians must be able to safely do our jobs. Wolf Blitzer #NotATarget
I am shocked and heartbroken by the tragic deaths of the World Central Kitchen team while delivering lifesaving food aid in Gaza. This attack on our humanitarian community is unacceptable. The safety of aid workers is paramount, as is the safety of those who come to receive aid. #NotATarget
Here’s a look at one of the seven World Food Programme central kitchens in Port-au-Prince.
Today, we plan to provide 20k hot meals to people who have had to flee their homes.

Yesterday’s report from The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification makes clear that famine is imminent in northern Gaza.
Partners like World Food Programme & UNICEF stand ready to scale up our response. With a humanitarian ceasefire and safe, sustained access – together, we can halt famine.
But time is running out.
Over 1 million people in Gaza – half the population – are facing catastrophic hunger and starvation.
To prevent outright famine, World Food Programme and partners need safe, immediate and full access to the north.
'For us, famine is the 'F' word,' says WFP chief economist Arif Husain as The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification releases a new report on Gaza. “If we are going to avoid these famines, the easiest way would be to stop the conflicts.'
