Despite the continued unrest, WFP Haiti (PAM) 🕊️ is reaching displaced families in the capital.
After 2 months of blockade, our team managed to provide food assistance to 26,000 people in 2 days, in Cité Soleil, one of the most vulnerable and insecure neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince.
🔴Flood Update: Most of the affected areas in Baghlan, #Afghanistan is inaccessible by trucks.
WFP had to resort to every alternative to get food to the survivors who lost everything.
🔴Breaking: Flash floods ravage #Afghanistan , killing more than 300 people in Baghlan and destroying more than 1000 houses.
This has been one of many floods over the last few weeks, due to unusually heavy rainfall. WFP is now distributing fortified biscuits to the survivors.
Margret went from growing just enough to eat to farming a variety of crops, selling her surplus, and training others.
As El Niño exacerbates drought, WFP Zimbabwe continues to support smallholder farmers with climate-smart agriculture and techniques to bolster resilience. 🥬🫘
