Here's another proof of concept SPLAT MAP, now with super smooth automated camera movement thanks to Theatre.js add-on.
This time we start with a wide shot 200 meters high and quickly zoom into the chairs and model cars at Robin's Cafe .
Again mixing Theatre.js Google Maps
Adding Theatre.js to a new A-Frame + Luma AI splat + Google Maps 3D Maptiles scene centered at Robin's Cafe showing timeline-based camera animation. View ultra fidelity toy cars up close and then zoom out instantly, or any other automated camera movement you can imagine.
Combine Google Maps 3d tiles and Luma AI gaussian splat scans via A-Frame / Three.js for high fidelity at tiny scale AND zoomable out to city scale all in the browser.
🙏 🎏Glitch hosting, PlayCanvas splat editing, NYTimes R&D 3dtiles component

Final Founders, Inc. #dreamxr hackathon devlog entry, and new title: BOLLARD BUDDY AR!
At the buzzer here's what we finished: place your favorite cones, bollards, posts and more! Then share your creation geolocated with Google Maps 3D!
uses A-Frame Variant - WebXR + WebAR Three.js 3DStreet
Another Founders, Inc. #dreamxr hackathon devlog entry, now back to the 3DStreet AR street maker app for iOS and Android (powered by A-Frame and Variant - WebXR + WebAR)
Now we can place cones outdoors and they stay (basically) in the same place, even while walking across large areas.
Thanks to popular feedback from 3DStreet users, we're prototyping an app to create scenes with AR. It uses WebXR AR with A-Frame and Variant - WebXR + WebAR as a polyfill.
Here's a day 1 prototype we're making as part of the #dreamxr hackathon hosted by Founders, Inc. & Meta Quest.
