Last week, over 63,000 people living in Cité Soleil, an area experiencing acute levels of food insecurity in #Haiti , received over 400 tons of food supplies.

After a 2-month blockade, World Food Programme regained access to Cité Soleil, one of the most vulnerable & insecure areas in #Haiti .

Over the past week, food deliveries have been flowing & by the end of the 2-week operation, 630 tons of food will have been distributed to over 95,000 people.

Over 26,000 people in Cité Soleil received rations, and 11,000+ hot meals were distributed to 5,600 displaced individuals in Port-au-Prince by World Food Programme and local partners on 6-7 May.

Amidst escalating violence since March, World Food Programme provided assistance to 660,000+ individuals through all operations in #Haiti , including social protection and school meal programs.

As part of the emergency response, 94,000 displaced people in the capital received over 785,000 meals.

Thanks to USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance's support, World Food Programme has been able to join forces with agencies and local partners to relieve food insecurity and malnutrition in #Haiti .

World Food Programme is grateful to be teaming with Centre Hospitalier de Fontaine Foundation and UNICEF Haiti to tackle hunger in Cité Soleil.
