Wonderful to have been in the Caribbean to celebrate the 75th anniversary of our #Commonwealth .

I had fantastic discussions with Roosevelt Skerrit and @MiaAmorMottley and their cabinet ministers on mobilising greater international support to help the Caribbean tackle the climate crisis.

It was an honour to meet with the Prime Minister of #Dominica , Roosevelt Skerrit.

We discussed @CommonwealthSec support to #SIDs through #CommonwealthCFAH , #BlueCharter & #CommonSensing , as well as partnerships with the private sector & digital training courses, particularly for youth.

I was delighted to welcome Patricia Scotland KC, Commonwealth Secretary-General to the Office of the Prime Minister on Wednesday.

We discussed her work at the The Commonwealth and the development priorities for small island states like Dominica.

I am saddened by the passing of the distinguished Dominican businessman, Phillip Nassief.

Mr. Nassief, a towering business figure, was the proprietor of the Dominica Coconut Products (DCP), Belfast Rum and the Fort Young Hotel. In 1977 he was awarded Dominica’s highest honour.
