media & when she became aware, she attended court in both cases.

She is facing her cases & any independent trial will find her innocent

This is an extremely sorry institutional response. The same Executive, which is accused of interfering in the judicial process, is being asked to investigate whether it is, in fact, doing so? What do we expect it to say? Yes, sorry, we have been very bad. We won’t do it again?

Whatever has to be said to the executive when it has been charge-sheeted, should be said to it in open court, in a hearing, instead of behind closed doors in a meeting.

These two journalists stood by the current Chief Justice when he was under assault. Now, it is the same assault, and judges are at the receiving end - only their response is different. Tells us more about their politics, and sadly, lack of principles.

Compare how Asad Ali Toor was brought to, and taken from court, and how a certain proclaimed offender was received at airport and went to court.

This is the strangest objection.

1. The Forms 45 were literally uploaded on the website. What could be more transparent?

2. Time to approach tribunals still pending so that data will only come later.

3. Transparency should flow from govt. and ECP.

The logic is all inverse.

Last week the Punjab Police itself was conducting a rally. There is no legal justification for preventing peaceful protests through brute force. It’s unconstitutional. It’s not the peaceful protestors who are breaking the law but the govt. that is violating the Constitution.
