A beautiful afternoon for our first Hurricane sortie of the season ☀️✈️

On Friday a group of WCoBM Liverymen and their guests visited the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. They had a tour of the Hangar and the aircraft, including Spitfires, Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota, and two Chipmunk.

80 years ago, on 3-4 May, 346 Lancaster bombers & 14 de Havilland Mosquitos from RAF Bomber Command attacked German forces garrisoned near the French town of Mailly-le-Camp. 🇫🇷

The victory was part of the preparation for the 6 June D-Day invasion.
