Together with partners ADRA Ukraine and myrnenebo, World Food Programme is working in the #Kharkiv region to support people evacuated due to the recent waves of attacks.

So far our teams have distributed food rations to 780+ people and registered 600+ people for emergency cash assistance.

Right now, families displaced by escalating hostilities from #Lyptsi and #Vovchansk communities arrive to Kharkiv's main transit point.

UNICEF is providing them with on-the-move kits for children, emergency and family hygiene kits.

People are being evacuated from the region to #Kharkiv city - right now - as the shelling in the area has intensified. Our Psychosocial support mobile teams are working with evacuees as they arrive in the transit centre - providing consultations and distributing dignity kits.

For Yaroslav, 13, the escalation of the war disrupted rehabilitation classes.

Supported by #UkraineHumanitarianFund , aid workers set up art therapy and other activities in Yaroslav’s village in the Zaporizhzhia Region, giving children something to look forward to every day.

Intensified hostilities in the #Kharkiv Region have caused a new wave of displacement, with people fleeing to safer locations.

In the first quarter of 2024, attacks across #Ukraine continued to upend millions of lives.

They caused more civilian casualties, damage to vital civilian infrastructure, and displacement in front-line and border communities.

Thanks to Global Partnership for Education, UNICEF's catch-up project has aided nearly 17,754 students.

Health care remains disrupted for millions of people due to the war in #Ukraine .

Aid organizations are supporting medical facilities, and delivering services and supplies to those most in need: they reached 860,000 people with assistance in the first three months of the year.

An immobile woman escorted by medical workers was evacuated by NGO Proliska from Nikopol to a pension in Uzhhorod by special transport.
