Our #NNR team spotted their first Hairy Hawker of the year last week, newly emerged and still unfolding its wings.

Hairy Hawkers are one of the first dragonfly species to appear here in the spring.

Good news, Woodwalton Fen NNR is now re-open after a very prolonged wet spell with multiple flood events.

Some wetter areas remain closed for now.

Please remember to stay on the mown paths, as the species rich vegetation alongside is sensitive to trampling.

Whilst on site in a woodland in #Cambridgeshire this week, a colleague took a moment to appreciate the bluebells amongst a carpet of anemones.
