Today marks 3 years since 16yo Ma’Khia Bryant was killed by police in Columbus, OH. Ma’Khia called the police for help, & an officer killed her. As we have seen again & again, interactions with police are devastating, traumatizing, & sometimes deadly for Black girls. #sayhername
We must support survivors of gender-based violence.
We must provide survivors with the services & resources they deserve & need to heal rather than punishing them as criminals.
