LunarG tip - See the SPIR-V blob the application passed to vkCreateShaderModule. Capture your application - run 'gfxrecon-replay' to extract the blob. Disassemble/decompile with 3rd-party tools. Recompile altered shaders - 'gfxrecon-replay' can substitute shaders for testing!

Did you know - You can save frame screenshots from Vulkan or Direct3D 12 applications? Capture the graphics calls with GFXReconstruct. Then use 'gfxrecon-replay --screenshot-all' or '--screenshots'. Save images from tests and compare to a golden reference. LunarG Tip!

Did You Know - If you need to share a repeatable set of Vulkan or Direct3D 12 commands for viewing in a graphics debugger (like RenderDoc), you can capture the commands using GFXReconstruct and then use “gfxrecon-replay” as the application! A tech tip from LunarG

Want to know what extensions were requested by a Vulkan application? First, use GFXReconstruct to capture every Vulkan API call. Second, generate readable JSON by using 'gfxrecon-convert --format json'. Then search for 'ppEnabledExtensionNames'. A Tech Tip by LunarG
