I was chasing Dragonflies today and spent nearly an hour trying to get a shot of this beautiful Downy Emerald which was whizzing around the pond! I finally managed this shot as it zoomed past me!!

Today, I set off early with a friend to find the elusive Purple Heron that had been reported. This is a very rare bird which visits us occasionaly from Africa & Asia! Luck was on our side and here is the bird flying over the water!
