I've just had a second look at this gull photo from Druridge Links from back in June last year. I originally put it down as herring gull but on closer inspection I think it is Yellow-legged Gull. Any thoughts? #gulls #BirdsOfTwitter Mike Carr Alan Curry Alan Tilmouth

Nice evening with Janet at Alnwick Playhouse on #WorldCurlewDay to listen music and conversation with Mary Colwell and David Gray. Hopefully we’ll see some Curlews in the Northumberland Coast National Landscape tomorrow.
World Curlew Day - here’s one over the causeway Lindisfarne NNR a couple of years ago. Janet and I are looking forward to hearing Mary Colwell and David Gray Alnwick Playhouse this evening.
Not the best digi-scoped shot, but a colour ringed curlew at Druridge Pools on #worldcurlewday - but I can’t find the scheme, seems to be under the name of Neil Allinson? Curlew Action Mary Colwell

I set myself the goal of finding a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker nest excavation this spring. I was confident I would find something, but am heartbroken to see that it's the lone female at Richmond Park where there are no males left. LesserSpot Network
Nice mornings birding at Druridge Pools/Links. No wheatear, garganey or sand martin yet but my second-ever patch red kite was a Brucey-bonus! #patchbirding
