It sets a framework for further cooperation to maintain resilience of #Ukraine 's health system amid the war, continuing the reform agenda & moving towards the health system recovery
Within the newly signed BCA, today delighted to hand over 20 ambulances together w/Gundo Weiler to Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine. Equipped with the life-supporting devices, they will provide emergency care to critical patients during transportation in Ukraine 🇺🇦
.World Health Organization (WHO) donated 20 ambulances to Ministry of Health of Ukraine to ensure emergency care provision during medical transportation to hospitals amid the war.
Designed as mobile intensive care units, cars will be used to provide the necessary care for patients who need extra life-supporting activities
.Gundo Weiler noted that WHO/Europe is interested in stepping up engagement with civil society and have done a lot engaging its representatives into activities of WHO Euro governing bodies, discussions & design of programmatic work, and plan to enhance regular dialogue further.
Today Gundo Weiler, during his mission to #Ukraine , & Jarno Habicht with WHO team met representatives from civil society organizations during the dedicated roundtable. World Health Organization (WHO) expressed its unwavering commitment to continue supporting 🇺🇦 in addressing urgent health needs during war.
The WHO team also met with the dedicated students engaged in the #EU - #WHO 'Youth for Health' initiative. These young changemakers are actively raising awareness about the crucial importance of vaccines at primary healthcare centers. 🌍💉 EU Neighbourhood & Enlargement 🇪🇺 #VaccinesSaveLives
Dr. Gundo Weiler, WHO/Europe's Regional Emergency Director a.i. , toured #Yerevan 's PHCs to learn about catch-up vaccination and refugee integration into primary care. He expressed gratitude to healthcare workers for providing extra care and support to the refugee community.🏥🙏
