This is why the work of: The DocsWithDisabilities Initiative , Medical Students with Disability & Chronic Illness , Stanford Medicine ADIE , Disability Advocacy Coalition in Medicine , and others is so important. I hope she can find a place willing to make the necessary accoms.
I'm a Black disabled woman. I survived cancer, a stroke, trauma, chronic pain. So there's a (not so small) part of me that can't believe that I get to wake up everyday & take care of other disabled folks. But I do. I talked about that & a lot more with the incomparable Lisa M Meeks, PhD, MA
