Lovely evening at the Deepings Literary Festival talking about #ReadingLessons . Highlights: fabulous questions courtesy of Linda Hill, lots of cake, and catching up with a former student who I havenโt seen for over ten years. Writing this book has been the best experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Steve Willshaw! Listen to the two of us talking about #ReadingLessons !
A love letter to the books that shape our lives! Celebrating the profound journey reading takes us on, this is a book not to be missed ๐๐๐ Carol Atherton
Just finished listening to Carol Athertonโs Reading Lessons and found every chapter so interesting and thoughtful. This book has held my hand (as so many of the books talked about in it do) over the past few weeks back at school after Easter. I love love love teaching English!
Lincolnshire and Peterborough folks: I'll be appearing at the Deepings Literary Festival on Thursday this week, when the fabulous Linda Hill will be interviewing me at the Deepings Library about #ReadingLessons . Do come along! deepingsliteraryfestival.co.uk/festival-progrโฆ

Very proud to be part of the University English #EnglishCreates campaign. As a student, teacher and lecturer of English, I feel that it is more important than ever to champion the importance of English as a subject of study.
