This is part of a vital 4km habitat that Network Rail East Coast plan to destroy (21ft+) from June in nesting season.
This green corridor=habitat for birds, bats & owls.
It breaks their own nature strategy that states no biodiversity loss in 2024

Damage to bark can cause disease or death to saplings and trees. Look out for young growth. New trees don't always have protective guards. Thank you
Do council officers need to go to Forest School??
Bristol City Council is not doing well on urban ecology it seems. Everywhere councils seem to be falling well behind the progressive ecological knowledge of its citizens Woodland Trustπ³ RSPB England Bristol Tree Forum πππ Danica Priestπππ
Haringey Tree Protectors Forest School Bristol City Council Woodland Trustπ³ RSPB England Bristol Tree Forum πππ Danica Priestπππ Far too many young trees, even when still in protective tree guards, are mown over or suffer damage to bark. If you notice them like this, perhaps hand weed around for them to be more easily mown around
Wellingborough tree group SAVE OUR TREES win at high court! They proved the council acting unlawfully when trying to remove a historic avenue of lime trees! This is a fantastic precedent for tree campaigners everywhere. STRAWPlymouth Bristol Tree Forum πππ Paul Powlesland Paul Wood π³

Yesterday Tudor Evans waved through the completely inadequate Terms of Reference for the review into the Armada Way felling.
Incredibly there were zero concerns raised by his colleagues despite it being well and truly not fit for purpose or fair.

When will councils learn ecology? After tree losses on Parkland Walk Haringey Council began cutting back vegetation at Stanhope bridge this week at the height of nesting season. Quelle surprise! to discover a number of nesting wrens in the bushes.Paul Powlesland UK National Wildlife Crime Unit (NWCU)

π§΅TOPPING TREES is increasing by Haringey Council tree dept. Here are reasons why it's bad for trees.
π³Tree Stress & Starvation: Topping removes crucial leaves that trees need for photosynthesis, leading to stress & weakened health @thestreettree Paul Powlesland Mike Hakata
π³Increased Risk of Disease & Pests: Large wounds from topping are slow to heal, inviting diseases and pests into the tree.
π³Weak & Rapid Regrowth: Trees respond to topping with weak, fast-growing shoots that require frequent pruning. Woodland Trustπ³ Cllr Alex Worrell π Cllr Luke Cawley-Harrison πͺπΊπ³οΈβππΆ
