Something that will always stick with me: Without fail, when folks get student debt relief, someone will reach out to us at @strikedebt and say thanks for your advocacy, now that I've gotten relief I can go to the dentist for the first time in X years. Do more of this @potus.

This should sound alarm bells for policy makers that CLAIM to care about #Pell & helping low income students.

Instead, the House is considering a #ShortTermPell bill NEXT WEEK that will exacerbate this shortfall & literally bankroll shady #forprofits & entirely online programs.

Also, borrowers relying on public assistance programs or those on a fixed income should qualify for debt relief due to financial hardship!

The $138 billion in relief granted to nearly 3.9 million Americans is the direct result of strategic organizing efforts that were made successful on the shoulders of our young people. This is what advocacy in action looks like. #CancelStudentDebt
