Wendy would have been very pleased indeed to see Somebody I Used To Know on this list. I shall be attending a reception at the House of Commons today to launch this new reading list.

It’s a shame Tom was cut from this documentary, a proposed change legislation is only for people with terminal illnesses AND less than six months to live. In other countries where legislation has been implemented, this does not include disabled people. This doc is scaremongering

Women don’t need to protect men in public spaces. That is not our role, that is not why women-only spaces were fought for and won. Put your efforts into stopping violence against women and girls. Put your efforts into changing gender perceptions in society. Do that work.

“Why does it matter? Doesn’t bother me? I’m a white middle-aged man and I’ve always enjoyed the privileges of my sex and my colour. So let people be who they say they are, and everyone buy into that, cos it’s no skin off my nose.”

I’m paraphrasing, but ok David 😐

'It is incredible to me that we pay so little attention to death, when it effects 100% of the population.' Thought-provoking words as always from the late, much missed DrDr (😊)Wendy Mitchell

anna wharton DrDr (😊)Wendy Mitchell A lovely woman, so eloquent and strong. Wendy speaks for so many of us who support a change in legislation. My mother was an advocate of dying with dignity and her biggest fear was suffering with a disease that robbed her of a peaceful end of life. Sadly, dementia did that😢❤️

As Wendy so eloquently explained ‘Refusing to legalise does not prolong life as people think…it prolongs death & often pain. In countries where it’s legal many ppl choose to live longer’ relaxed in the knowledge that they won’t be forced to suffer Dignity in Dying

Wow. A blatant lie, but clearly she knows that women who this has happened to are silenced by the courts and so can’t speak out. Incredible.
