We hosted the first district athletics competition of the summer today. Junior pupils from year 8/9 took part on a surprisingly dry afternoon.

Our U13 cricket team progressed to the semi finals of the Calder cup this afternoon. Batting first skipper Murrell anchored the innings with a superb 48 with others chipping in to post 123-5. A fiery new ball spell from Bullen and Keogh then reduced Wym College to 4-5! 🏏🚌🏆

Not to be for our U12 girls this evening as they lost their county cup final 4-1 to Taverham, but a terrific first season of school football nonetheless.

In fact, another great season overall for girls football having now reached 24 of the last 28 county cup finals

Thorpe St Andrew PE impressive season continued today with a double final win in the y9 girls final vs WymondhamHighAcademy (3-0) and an impressive 7-0 win by the y8 boys vs Venture Academy

Next up tomorrow / the y9 boys & y10 boys finals

Bullen top scored with 18.
Kaveen just behind with 12.
Keogh took 4 for 11, Bower 3 for 9 and Bullen 2 for 6. Borrett took the other wicket.
Bailey was economical and Murrell outstanding captaincy and keeping!
Henry, Tom and Niall fielded superbly.
Shaw took the winning catch.

U13 County Cup Cricket team visited Norwich School this afternoon.
On a tricky pitch we stumbled to 75 off our 20 overs.
An outstanding team bowling/fielding performance saw us dismiss our hosts for 73 to win by 2 runs!

A great win for the U15 boys cricket team this evening. Batting first against Wym college we posted 137/6 with Henry retiring on 50 & Austin making 29. After a couple of early wickets with the ball we were able to share the overs around, eventually winning by 29 runs 🏏👏🏻🚌
