DCPI is NYPD's press & PR arm.

In 2022 NYPD testified DCPI had 36 staff ($3.6M budget). DCPI has ballooned to 86 - more than double just 2 years ago, while other agencies had HUGE cuts. NYPD hasnt said yet what DCPI current budget is.

This is a HUGE propaganda budget.

A member of their family is murdered in front of them, and they then are subjected to an interrogation 🤷‍♀️ The incensitivity and trauma of it all is unbelievable

NEW: DOI has launched a probe into NYPD officials' social media use as well as NYPD's response to pro-Palestine campus protests, a spokeswoman confirms.
