The dispute at the Saputo factory in Burnie continues. Workers are fighting for pay parity with their mainland colleagues. The AMWU estimated Tuesday’s industrial action was a $90,000-$100,000 hit to the company due to wasted product.

Solidarity to The AMWU members at Saputo Dairy who've taken strike action today for fair wages. Another example of the mainland wage gap where companies think they can rip Tassie workers off just because of where we live. Workers are fed up and standing up

Workers at Saputo Burnie have taken strike action today in their pursuit of parity with Saputo mainland wage rates.
A 21% difference between the sites is simply corporate greed and Tasmanians say enough is enough! No longer are we the poor cousin

The AMWU members have worked in traditional industries for generations, powering our economy & looking after us

If Governments can give $57b in handouts to multinational fossil fuel companies, they should be able to give a hand up to the home-grown industries of the future.

Everyone has a right to feel safe in their own homes.

More than 30,000 lives have been taken in Gaza - 13,500 of them children.

Amongst the lives lost, thousands of workers. Nurses, teachers, doctors, aid workers…

This is not humanity.

Ceasefire.
Aid.
Safety.
Peace.

SA announced today that it's moving to introduce 25km/h speed limits around RAA roadside workers to make them and the public safer. It would not have happened without AMWU members like Dean Jennings and Michael Walker campaigning for years to get these laws changed.

Workers at Electrolux's Adelaide factory walked off the job today, a last resort as the company tries to short-change them. They've already twice voted down the substandard agreement that comes with restrictive conditions around when they can take leave.
