Now the test closure is complete (see yesterday’s tweet) some of the gates are in their reverse maintenance position. The gates are hollow so can be inspected inside when out of the water. And as a bonus some of the Dunkirk small boats chugged through today!

We are in the process of moving some of the larger gates to underspill to allow a controlled amount of water under the gate.

This will speed up the reopening process for the evening rush hour.
