We have some incredibly exciting news to share! Co Print is collaborating with Sovol to integrate the KCM Set into the SV08 model. With this collaboration, Sovol's new SV08 printer not only offers a large print volume but also creates value
Its not as bad as i thought, BUT its bad in ANOTHER way Fully pulled the crooked bearing stack on the SV08 While the bottom hole is mangled its crooked cus they built it with a too short pin, NOT because the alignment was off ALSO No shim between bearings either so theyre rubbing
If you use a thin PCB bed for your printer, make sure its not over constrained and allows for expansion. Otherwise you get a result like this on the SV08 🥲
SV08 may go into storage already. Im not going to 'review' a machine with a single unfinished PLA profile, macros that dont function correctly, and has mis aligned bearings that are already chewing up belts 6 hours in. Maybe finish stuff before shipping it for review next time
Here is the Shake&Tune results from the Sovol SV08.
The belts are almost matched out of the box, and the shaper results look pretty damn clean. Much Much Much cleaner than other CoreXY machines that use sleave bearings on rods...
Some of us 'reviewers' actually go the extra mile and fix the first layer issues, perfect first layer on the Sovol sv08, I'll pass on what I changed to sovol👌

The stock SV08 profile will need a fair amount of tuning, but it's honestly printing good out of the box! Limited flow to 16mm^3 but can go a lot higher.
Printing a gazzaladra Table lamp “Bonbon” in Polymaker Pink PLA (not ABS this time 🤣)
Highlights from todays livestream, still learning laser stuff but its coming along well, and also disappointed with Sovol`s new SV08 firmware, it still doesn't use the nozzle z-switch properly and relies entirely on the inductive probe which loves to drift with heat....
