#SpikeIsland Just came across this pix of 15 year old me on the launch to Spike when it was still a Naval base in 1968.
With my dad we toured the gun emplacements, the underground ammo stores, where I saw torpedoes, depth charges etc, and we visited the Officer's Mess.
