طائر Shoebill أو أبو مركوب، ويطلقون عليه في السودان اسم (أبو أحذية) لأن منقاره يشبه الحذاء، وهو من الطيور النادرة المهددة بالانقراض، يصل ارتفاعه إلى 1,2 متر، عندما يضرب منقاره ببعضهما يأتي صوت يشبه إطلاق النار من مدفع رشاش وكأنك في ساحة حرب.
