@2ndcitycottage🌱 I sow wild flowers in seedtrays and planted them out in an old vegetable garden. Not an allotment I'm afraid. 😁❤️🌸🐝🦋

It’s wet and windy here at The Devon Patch, but the leeks and tomatoes are reaching for the sky! I think even the rice crop has too much water🤣🤣🤣

The prep is in full swing - deliveries of compost (Klasmann = the best!👌), seedtrays, planting pots, etc. All courtesy of Fruit Hill Farm and . Tunnel needed cuts fixed a few days ago 😬, and one thing was clear ... wash tunnel NOW! 😅

BAS any help with this one please? I know it's a crappy picture.
It was in a shed, under some neglected seedtrays. Glossy/fleshy looks. Legs and thorax more red than the img shows. Abdomen in a tan hue (like the one from a tick)

Hotbed made; now to wait for the 70C+ phase to kick in and drop to steady 20C before putting seedtrays on top

Not my favourite job but clean seedtrays are a good idea! Not too late to sow winter salads if you get a wriggle on. Anything edible is going to be a huge bonus especially this year. Bagged salad from supermarkets is so expensive, why not have a go with me and grow your own?

My gardening on the cheap
Seedtrays are recycled packaging.
Turn into propagators with clingfilm lids.
My plant labels are leftover ice-lolly sticks.
These are newly sewn vegetables plus my orchard-to-be, some avocado trees & spiderplant propagation
The soil was recycled too.
