Scottsbluff National Monument, NE

This is where the Oregon Trail passed through. There was a trading post along the trail where people could stop and buy provisions on their way out west.

Remember to go hunting with your ammo and don't die of cholera on your way!

Just above Deadwood, South Dakota and behind the building you see in the distance are the remnants of an old gold mine where William Randolph Hearst's family became rich from gold prospecting. They then moved out to California and built Hearst Castle.
