Whitstable RNLI hosted a visit by the Swale Stroke Group on Friday and members were shown around the lifeboat and boat hall by education officers David Hayward and Sue Evans whilst Helmsman Dave Parry was also on hand to demonstrate the RNLI drysuit used by the crew.

It was a real pleasure to be in Portaferry Community Centre attending the cross community service of thanksgiving for the 200th anniversary of the RNLI.
Well done to all the organisers of today, and thank you to the RNLI for their invaluable service.

After four accidental drownings in Northern Ireland last year, the RNLI has launched its 'Float to Live' campaign.  
It's designed to make people aware of a life-saving technique, if anyone gets into difficulty in the water.

Delighted I made it to the Peter Beales Roses garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show!
The ‘With Courage’ rose is available to buy with 20% of all sales being donated by @peterbealesroses to the RNLI, which helps lifeboat volunteers and lifeguards continue saving lives at sea!

Yesterday, The Princess Royal joined by sir Tim Lawrence and the Duke of Kent held a garden party to mark the RNLI 200th Anniversary.

The dangers of using inflatable beach toys and dinghies were highlighted when Whitstable RNLI launched after reports of a person in an inflatable dinghy being blown out to see off Reculver on Sunday afternoon.
