I wanted to maintain always on, flag 44 set, after a power cycle. Only way is by a synthetic program. This power-off program uses flag 11 to auto execute on power-on, and restores all flags. A separate key is assigned to power-off.

FYI, if you are taking apart a Dynalogic Hyperion, there are only six screws to worry about: two flathead captive in the handle, two Phillips on the bottom, and these sneaky Phils on the bottom-side. Don't bother trying to remove the hard-to-reach ones.

CP 500 (TRS-80 Model III) running ZAXXON at the RetroSC event.
It's a Brazilian computer compatible with the original TRS-80. Manufactured by Prologica between 1982 and 1987. Zilog Z80A @ 2 MHz, 48 to 64KB of RAM.
Zaxxon is a SEGA arcade original (1982).

Today I remembered that on -powered machines (like and ), you can save precious registers by combining two 16bit fixed-point values into one 32bit
register, albeit at the loss of 1 bit of precision. Poor man’s SIMD!
