I charged the Rivian R1T at a Tesla Supercharger today... and then a Lucid Air, 2 other Teslas and an F150 Lightning showed up, and it descended into chaos. Here's the video on my experience: youtu.be/W-oaVLRH-js

The Tesla Cybertruck raced the Rivian R1T quad motor and the GMC Hummer EV in the 1/4 mile.

It smoked them both.

Hummer: 11.9 seconds at 106 mph
Rivian R1T: 11.7 seconds at 110 mph
Cybertruck: 11.0 seconds at 119 mph

For reference, a Lamborghini Aventador can do a 1/4 mile

Some people seem to think I’m over exaggerating how bad Model Y 4680 charging performance is - are you really saying you’d be fine with this?

Ok wait this is amazing. It's like the reverse wireless charging of electric vehicles. If Rivian can pull off vehicle-to-vehicle charging, that's a game changer that I'm gonna want in every electric car.

Possible Tesla competition alert: The Rivian R1T. 750 horsepower. 400 miles of range. Starting at $69,000 in 2020 and they’re taking deposits now.

Basically it’s a kickstarter, but also a great look at the benefits of electric in a pickup. So much space!

On Monday I noticed some oil splashed on the underbody of the R1T. Waiting to hear what caused this. Currently the truck is in service with Rivian.

NEWS: Rivian has announced new incentives to help move 2023/2024 R1 inventory. Here are the changes:

2023/2024 R1S
• Quad-Motor is now $6,000 (down from $8,000)
• Large battery is now $7,100 (down from $9,100)
• Max battery is now $15,100 (down from $19,100)
