I’ve discovered #postboxsaturday is a thing, so here’s a local one from last year, just before the Coronation.
It used to be said that when this lampbox had a bright idea, the lightbulb above it glowed. It was seen as an oracle, & postboxes would make the treacherous journey to seek its advice. Then the bulb blew & the magic went: now it is just an ordinary postbox again. #PostboxSaturday
There must be thousands (?) of postboxes like this, but only one with this delightful Maypole dance #postboxtopper . Once again, pure admiration for all the clever and crafty people. #postboxsaturday
