Day 1 of #INC4 is done! As the negotiations kicked off, our team was hopeful to hear Canada reiterate it's desire for a strong, legally-binding #PlasticTreaty . One that eliminates and restricts problematic plastics and chemicals of concern, and includes refill and reuse targets.

Scientists are clear. Even if plastics production is reduced 1 to 3% per year, global pollution will increase and cumulative plastic produced will likely reach 20 billion metric tons or more by 2040. Ambitious reduction of plastic production is necessary! #INC4 #PlasticTreaty
