we explored and learned about Treaty vests together. We learned that people can wear their vests to celebrate their culture! We learned about the symbols on the vests. We noticed many vests included animals. Then, we thought about what animals we identified with. #treatyeducation

Welcome to our newest inquiry! What do you notice?

Students organized into groups and documented what they noticed in the provocation with pictures and words. We compiled our findings and discussed what we saw! #msbenoitsclass

Exploring Manitoba Treaties 🫱🏼‍🫲🏾Some classmates shared that their families came from First Nations communities. Some shared that they were from other countries! We located First Nations communities on the map. We noticed some of our families were from different Treaty areas!

Teacher off Duty: bridal addition! Some of my students drew wedding dress designs for me… I think the one I chose is ALMOST as great as theirs!🩷

Our classroom was a little loud. Our classroom was a little messy. But the noise was laughter. And the mess was imagination. And today, I know that I gave my kids what they needed and deserved.

Ss scanned the QR codes to revisit the provocation from the previous day. Today we focused on our questions! We organized into groups and recorded our questions onto sticky notes and attached them to our observation papers from the previous day. So many questions to research!
